I wanted the public surface to get narrower. The older version of this repo could express many different content shapes, but the shape I actually want to use is simpler: write an essay, or post a dispatch with commentary.

The archive still matters most. I want stable URLs, calm date-based browsing, and a front page that can mix longer writing with smaller dispatches without turning the site into a publishing maze.
